Uniroyal Chemical Company, Naugatuck, CT Plant, Manager Quality Assurance,    1994-96.
Managed raw material, in process and finished product testing and certification;
resolved customer complaints; determined product specifications; worked on Union
Management Negotiating Team and as certified lead auditor. Managed staff of 21
and budget of $2M.

    > Functioned as ISO-9000 Management Representative.
    > Accomplished upgrade and secured Plant certification to ISO-9000-1994.
    > Implemented Internal Audit/Corrective Action Program for Plant operations.

Ethicon, Inc., Somerville, NJ, Section Manager Materials Characterization,    1989-94.
Led characterization and FDA Compliance efforts and worked with other departments
on medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer products in development, production,
sterilization and packaging.  Managed a 10-employee group with a budget of >$1M.
 
    > Co-led multi-disciplinary team that developed and introduced new suture 
      product to the market; received team and quality award.
    > Developed new annealing process for absorbable surgical clip, reducing
      production cost by 30% and increasing application scope by 100%.
    > Developed and validated methods for raw materials and product/process analysis.
    > Led quality improvement teams in successful projects to better coordinate
      company R&D activities with other functions.

Monsanto Chemical Company, Springfield,MA, Group Leader/Sr. Research Specialist1983-89.
Led characterization of plastics, ionomers, coatings, adhesives and pharmaceuticals
in structure-property-process relationships; supervised seven employees in three
laboratories.

     > Established State of the Art analytical characterization facilities.

     > Principal contributor to  improved stretch blow-molding process for beverage
       bottles.
     > Negotiated contracts with Universities and National Labs to make their
